In 1985 Aris Blok started his own company. Aris Blok Mechanical Industry developed into a leading supplier and specialist for industrial products and services. His son Erik Blok took over the activities twenty years later. He developed the company through various acquisitions (NMA, Stork Food & Dairy Systems production, Kramer & Duyvis and Leves Metaal) into a group of companies, the Blok Group.

In 2020, Erik Blok added a new chapter to the rich history of the Blok companies. After he had transferred the Blok Group to new management, he started Blok International together with a few former colleagues, building on their many years of experience.
