Grade 2- and Grade 4-cleaning and packaging
Grade 4-cleaning is now fairly easy to achieve using the right installations. Grade 2-cleaning is still a challenge, although the technology for this is developing rapidly. In our network we have all the necessary expertise and facilities to supply parts according to the classifications Grade 2-Cleanliness and Grade 4-Cleanliness.
Grade-2 Cleanliness
The aim is to produce a clean product, especially for vacuum applications. This is often desirable for high-tech parts for companies such as ASML. Working according to Grade 2-Cleanliness requires extreme care and caution to prevent damage and to achieve a good cleaning result. Specific techniques are used for this that can only be performed in advanced cleanrooms.
In addition to the cleaning itself, there is another important difference between Grade 2 and Grade 4. Grade 2-cleaning is only possible if this has already been taken into account in the production process of the parts. If such requirements are set, we only work with partners who work according to the Grade 2-standards. For example, they must use special lubricants and their operators must absolutely not pick up parts with their bare hands. If they do not produce in accordance with these requirements, subsequent cleaning in accordance with the Grade 2-requirements is impossible. We therefore strictly monitor compliance with Grade 2.
